• Founded SeekTheRush.com, a reservation service for Pacific Northwest adventure outfitters. Responsible for all programming and infrastructure adminstration.
• Installed, configured and deployed a production Debian Linux server, and built a multi-OS network environment to provide team access to source control, offsite backups, and test resources using Subversion, Trac, Google Apps and Samba server.
• Connected multiple instances of Tomcat to a single HTTPD instance with mod_jk to intercept requests for static resources, provide useful error pages, and rewrite URLs.

• Implemented a WAN simulator using Netfilter/Iptables, Bash, and PHP that could throttle bandwidth and drop, corrupt, and duplicate random IP packets for target test machines for the purpose of testing network-dependant applications. Simulated network conditions included 56k, DSL, T-1, and cell phone networks. Wrote documentation for future maintainers and taught others how to the setup and use the system.
• Developed an automated system to monitor voice quality over POTS lines using Bash, Python, Perl and the Linux VGetty package.

• Assisted in an emergency expansion of the billing databases for Google Adwords by migrating and verifying the integrity of hundreds of thousands of customers' data using Python, SQL and Bash scripts.
• Developed a Python framework to efficiently copy database entities between MySQL database instances based on foreign key relationships. The framework was used to migrate live customer data to a testing environment.

Intern Test Engineer (May 2003 - June 2005)

• Developed an automated test infrastructure using Ant and Java to test Controlhaus controls on Tomcat and Weblogic Server.
• Responsible for automated Apache Beehive testing. Refactored and released TCH (Test Case Handler) to the Beehive project, which is used to run unit test batches (Source¹). Wrote most of the infrastructure beneath beehive/tags/v1.0/controls/test².
• Tested Database Control against Oracle 8, Oracle 9, MSSQL, Pointbase and MySQL for Weblogic Workshop 8.1 through the release of 8.1 GA.
• Responsible for automating all K'Nex testing in Weblogic Workshop 8.1 SP2 on Redhat Linux, Solaris and Windows 2000.
